Why are there some Slack accounts without MFA on the Access page not being flagged on the 'MFA on Slack' test

Administrators may notice that some Slack users on the Access Page do not have MFA enabled but are not flagged on the MFA on the Slack test. This is because Vanta only verifies that MFA is enabled on all Slack accounts that aren't marked as external or non-human.

The roles, such as Guest, Admin, or Member do not affect this, rather the Owner that is assigned.

If the owner is set to either an 'External person' or set to 'Not a person:

These accounts will not be monitored on the test. If you see an account that has an active Vanta user as the owner with no MFA that is not flagged on the test, please submit a support ticket about this for more investigation.
