This is a guide on how to resolve the error " Vanta Agent Setup Wizard ended prematurely"

When installing the Vanta Agent on a Windows device, the following error is received:

Resolution

1. Use the steps in the Microsoft article below to set your default browser to Chrome https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-your-default-browser-in-windows-10-020c58c6-7d77-797a-b74e-8f07946c5db6
2. Restart your device 
3. Download a fresh copy of the Vanta Agent https://app.vanta.com/downloads
4. Right-click on the download and select Run as Administrator
5. Follow the prompts

Solution A (OPTIONAL)

If the above option does not work, you can install the Agent using the command line. Use the steps in the below article to install using the command line for Windows.
