How to document third party encryption

If an employee is unable to encrypt their device with the default encryption option on their device such as BitLocker (for Windows) or FileVault (for Mac), it will need to be manually documented. 




  1. Go to test Employee computer hard disk encryption
  2. Go to computer/user who needs remediation
  3. Click Deactivate monitoring
  4. Fill out "Deactivate monitoring for item" form and include manual evidence (such as a screenshot)

    Note: The user will still show with an X on the computers page:
