How to Create an MSP Partner Demo Account

What is a Partner Demo Account?

A partner demo account is a Vanta instance with built-in demo integrations and data.

Your demo account allows your team to learn more about our platform by getting hands-on, write-access experience.

In addition, you will have the ability to enter a view-only sandbox environment where we have more robust integrations and data. This can be used by your sales team to demo Vanta to prospects.

 

Instructions

Step 1: Visit app.vanta.com (app.eu.vanta.com if you’re in EMEA) to log in to the MSP Console.

Step 2: From the Customers page, click on “+ Add customer”

Step 3: Enter the details as follows:

  • Domain name = ‘DEMO-companydomain.com’ (for example, if your company domain is XYZ.com, your Partner Demo domain should be DEMO-XYZ.com). Important note: Adding ‘DEMO-’ is important to ensure that you are not billed on this account.
  • Company name = your company name
  • Company size = select your company size bucket
  • Products = choose any product/packaging you want to include in your demo. You can always add or remove later. 

Step 4: Click “Save”.

Step 5: Our team will get to work and create integrations in your demo account within 4-5 business days. If you open your partner demo account by clicking on the “Open app” button and do not see connections in the Integrations page within 5 business days, send us an email at msp@vanta.com

 

Using your Demo Account

Write Access

  • Simply login to your account and start exploring! You can fully engage with our platform as you would in your NFR or customer instance.
  • We recommend adding others from your team who will be working closely with the platform (e.g. your service delivery and sales teams). Checkout this help center article to learn how to add additional users.

View-only Sandbox Access

  • You can also enter “sandbox” mode, which gives you view-only access to a fully deployed Vanta account. This will give you a very real-world experience of using Vanta and seeing its capabilities, in a safe environment that cannot be broken.
  • We recommend referencing the Sandbox Lab Guide in the Partner Resource Center to orient your team to the Vanta interface, capabilities, value, and differentiation vs other solutions. The guide is written to follow a specific flow, but of course, you can click anywhere in the interface to explore as you like.
  • To access, click on ‘Enter sandbox' at the bottom of your account.

  • To leave the sandbox and return to write-access mode, click on ‘Leave sandbox’.
