Adding Additional Auditors to an Engagement

Before auditors can access an audit in Vanta, the customer must first add the audit firm to their Vanta instance. For step-by-step instructions, refer to this help article.

Once the audit firm has been added, either the customer or the auditor can create an audit in Vanta. If the customer initiates the audit, they can assign the audit firm and multiple auditors to the engagement. To avoid confusion, the auditor and customer should coordinate on who will create the audit engagement.

After an engagement is created, only the auditors who initiated the engagement or those who were added to it will have permission to add additional auditors. Auditors looking to add more team members must follow the steps outlined below.

Adding Additional Auditors to Your Customer Engagement

Once an engagement has been created (whether by the auditor or the customer) any auditor who has been added to the engagement can follow the steps below to add additional auditors.

  • Log into your Audit Console at app.vanta.com or app.eu.vanta.com (if the customer is in EMEA)
  • Click the “...” button to the right of the customer engagement you are needing to add additional auditors into
  • Click “Edit Auditors” 

  • Search and Add the additional Auditors to the engagement

Once added, the other auditors can also add/remove necessary auditors to the engagement. 

If there is an auditor in your firm that is needing to be added to your Firm within Vanta, please email partners@vanta.com and include their full name and email address.
