how does Vanta agent works in case of disk encryption, does it look for home directory encryption or it looks for entire disk encryption?

    The Vanta agent checks for full disk encryption. This includes checking for encryption on Windows, MacOS, and most major distributions of Linux.
     
    For Windows, the Vanta Agent specifically checks for BitLocker enablement to confirm encryption monitors. If BitLocker is not supported on your device, you may need to provide manual evidence of encryption.
     
    On MacOS and Linux, the Vanta agent checks for full disk encryption as well. However, it's important to note that the Vanta Agent does not detect Anti-Virus in Linux, only Hard Drive Encryption.
