Vanta Agent: Policies

The Vanta Agent for policies allows users to search across their policy documents directly in Vanta. Instead of digging through dense documentation, users can ask natural-language questions and receive responses in seconds.

Please note: Vanta AI can make mistakes. Please verify responses.

The Vanta Agent can help you understand:

  • Is my Risk Management Policy audit ready?

  • Who is responsible for filing HR exceptions?

  • What is the scope of my Physical Security Policy?

  • My CISO just left. Which policies do I need to update?

Accessing the Agent Chat

  • From the Policies page, select Vanta Agent.

  • Add your prompt or question to the field at the bottom of the chat.

  • Select Send.

  • Vanta AI will search through relevant documentation and provide you with a response.

    • To better understand the reasoning behind the AI response, you can view the source of the information by clicking the book icon at the bottom of the chat.

  • From here you can continue to ask questions in the same thread, or select + New chat at the top right hand corner.

Use the thumbs up or thumbs down icons to improve AI's responses over time.

AI Insights

Take advantage of AI-driven insights by having the Vanta agent automatically resolve SLA inconsistencies, address policy contradictions, and remove off-boarded employees from policies.

  • From the policies page, select any of the pre-provided AI Insights options.

  • Vanta AI will retrieve the appropriate information, and provide you will information that will allow you to take action to improve your policies.
