A-SCEND makes it easier to work through audits by connecting your Vanta evidence directly to A-LIGN’s compliance platform. When paired with Vanta, the integration helps teams reduce duplicate work, prevent version drift, and collaborate with auditors in real time. This is especially useful for customers completing audits with A-LIGN and looking to streamline the evidence review process.
Customers using A-LIGN as their auditor can take advantage of a direct integration between Vanta and A-SCEND. When enabled, evidence and metadata from your Vanta audit sync into the auditor workflow inside A-SCEND.
How It Works
When your audit observation window is active, your A-LIGN auditor will connect Vanta to A-SCEND.
Customers complete a few steps in Vanta:
Create the audit in Vanta
Add the assigned A-LIGN auditor to the audit
Upload any additional controls requested by the auditor, or ask Vanta Support or Customer Success to upload on your behalf
Once the audit window begins, or when early access opens, Vanta starts syncing evidence into A-SCEND. The integration supports bi directional syncing for:

Evidence names
Evidence descriptions
Evidence status
Evidence comments
A-SCEND uses the Auditor API to pull new evidence from Vanta on an ongoing basis so that evidence remains up to date.

How to Connect the Integration
No customer action is required. Once A-LIGN is assigned to your audit, the auditor handles connecting Vanta to A-SCEND.
