What field on a user's GitHub profile does Vanta use to associate a GitHub user to a Vanta user?

For the GitHub integration, Vanta will look to the public email on your public profile in GitHub. If this does not match Vanta's email, it will not automatically link to their user.

  • If the email in the user's public profile on GitHub matches and the user is still not linking successfully, please send a ticket to support@vanta.com and share a screenshot of the user's public profile showing that the email matches.
