Comment Notifications Center brings every comment you’re tagged in across Vanta, such as Risks, Questionnaire Automation, Audits, into one unified view. Instead of hunting through email or Slack, you’ll see new comments pop up in real time so you can stay focused on responding and collaborating with your team and auditors.
Accessing Comment Notifications
Click the bell icon in the top-right of the Vanta app.
Real-Time Updates
New comments appear within about 30 seconds—no manual refresh required.
Even if you’ve seen the email or viewed the comment thread elsewhere, each tagged comment still shows as unread until you click it.
Marking & Navigating
Mark as Read Clicking a notification marks it read and removes bold styling
Go to Comment Click any specific comment to jump straight into the full comment thread on that object
All comments in Vanta that trigger email or Slack notifications will appear here.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will older comments from before Comment Notifications launch appear?
No. Only new comments created after launch will show as unread. Historical comments won’t be back-filled.
Can I change the sort order or filter by object?
Not yet. For now, comments sort newest-first and include all object types. Stay tuned for advanced filters in an upcoming release.
Who sees the Comment Notifications Center?
Any user with comment-notification permissions. Employees without comment access won’t see the bell icon.
