If an employee cannot encrypt their device with the default encryption option on their device, such as BitLocker (for Windows) or FileVault (for Mac), it will need to be manually documented.
- Go to test Employee computer hard disk encryption
- Go to the computer/user who needs remediation
- Click Deactivate monitoring
- Fill out the Deactivate monitoring for item form and include manual evidence (such as a screenshot)
- Note: The user will still show an X on the computers page
