Sign in Issues with Vanta - Questionnaire Automation Browser Extension

Users may encounter issues trying to sign into the Vanta - Questionnaire Automation browser extension. This article details how to resolve this. 

 

Resolution

  • If you are not an administrator before downloading the extension please check with your administrator to confirm you have the 'Trust Collaborator', 'Trust Admin, or 'Editor' permissions. This is required in order to be able to sign into the extension.



    See Users Permissions & User Roles for more details.  If you do not have the correct permissions you will not be able to sign in, or you will encounter a "You don't have permission to generate answers. Switch accounts and try again or contact your account administrator." error





  • Next, after confirming you have the correct role, if your domain is on app.vanta.com ensure you select the 'NA' (North America) region, if your domain is on app.eu.vanta.com, ensure you are selecting the EU region on the bottom right of the extension:



  • If you have the correct permissions, and selected the correct region but still cannot sign in, please submit a ticket to support@vanta.com and include a screenshot of your user permissions in Vanta in the ticket.
